- 5. STATIC/DYNAMIC CHARACTER •Summer is a static character. • Summer is a static character because she does not go through a significant change over the course of the story. She is kind at the beginning and remains kind and friendly throughout the entire book.
- 6. ROUND/FLAT CHARACTER •Summer is a round character. • Summer is a round character because her personality is revealed through her actions, words, and what other character’s say about her. We know how she interacts with friends and family and how she handles difficult situations. For example, she did not want to be disloyal to Auggie, so she left the Halloween party rather than chose between Julian and Auggie.
