High-Impact Practices
offer a structure to help
educators create learning
cultures designed to
develop the whole person
and
nurture graduates who are
genuinely future-ready

George D Kuh
Founding Director of the
National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment
High Impact Practices, when done well, can enhance student success, retention and engagement.
Kuh, G. D. (2008). High-impact educational practices: What they are, who has access to them, and why they matter. Washington, DC: Association of American Colleges and Universities.
All students benefit from engaging with at least one or two high-impact practices during their
undergraduate studies – this is especially true for students from non-traditional or underserved
backgrounds.

Vision:
To change the way learning is designed, experienced and assessed
Mission:
To inspire learning through beautifully crafted software, designed to
help learners plan for, make sense of, and share stories of their unique
talents and attributes
Helping students engage more
purposefully in academic
tutorials
35000 students in the first year
80% first year student engagement (voluntary)
seen as a means of providing equity of service –
and then improving the service – especially for
WP students
