This document summarizes the findings from a survey monkey questionnaire about music magazines. The survey received responses from participants with interests in rock, pop, indie, alternative and metal music. It found that:
1) The internet is the main source for music news rather than magazines, so an online presence would be important.
2) Once a month is the preferred frequency for a magazine to allow time for quality content while keeping costs low for readers.
3) Freebies, cover stories and inside information most attract readers to buy a magazine, so these should be emphasized.
