On average, how much time would you spend on ICT issues in the school each week ?  38.5 hours in total This averages out about 4 hours per week for lead teachers. This depended on size of school, systems in place and what is happening at the time.
Describe the provision within your school for support and training in your role as lead teacher.   Generally when asked for training most Lead Teachers receive it. Training not necessarily given. Trips to other schools great PD. Personal Comment – Is there such a thing as Lead Teacher training if so maybe it would be good to have a sessions for us all.

Name the five initiatives or systems that you have implemented in your role that have had the most impact and briefly explain what contributed to their success Electronic Day Book / Electronic Register  Data input into e-tap of student results. Digital cameras for year groups - easier access  PD for senior teachers on implementing the Kath Murdoch approach  Encouraged teachers to plan authentic ICT with learning intentions Emailing Planning for reworking podcasting using data projector to ICT page with activities for the whole school to use  Log books for booking and tracking equipment  In house PD on using different programmes in a useful and relevant way to enhance classroom learning. Buying of new programmes like Kidpix and comic life.  Making a set timetabled session for every class in the school every week using the computer suite (1 1/2 hours). Development of key indicators for each year level and clear planning guidelines for teachers
Name the five initiatives or systems that you have implemented in your role that have had the most impact and briefly explain what contributed to their success Blogging –  Purchasing new gear Cameras in classroom –  PD - skills gained by staff are increasing  Using online calendar  Got all the laptops up and running with the new server and access to intranet. –  TUTPUP - organised and suggested the use of tutpup Photography- uploading and changing photos on kid pix.  blogs student commenting on blogs wikispaces.  using data proj. and computer partnerships to show powerpoints  Spike at school- great for teachers posting learning caves  SMS- Electronic Roll  Problem books- easy fault fixing/location Windows server domain- ease of file saving Wireless laptops and base stations- solid access- used ALL the time!  Blogs for kid-to-kid writing Teacher-controlled wikis  whole-staff differentiated ICT training programme  Introduced SMS being used by teachers

Teacher buddy system (More skilled teachers buddied with less skilled to train / support) Sign out systems for pod, cameras etc. This has eliminated loss of gear.  Survey of teacher skills so that PD is target to needs within the staff.  POD management system - digikids to check lap and laptop at hte end of the day. Blogging - every class now has blog and now promoting getting wider community to leave comments Blogging –  chidlren publishing work and using it in the writing process. C lassroom cameras purchased through community grant to support capturing images for blogging.  Continued lunchtime/afternoon workshops for PD
