TPS are used to collect and store transaction data, OAS are used to digitally create and store office documents, KWS serve the information needs at the knowledge level of an organization, DSS support business decision making, ESS organize data into summarized reports, and GDSS electronically support group meetings and projects. Examples of each type of system are also provided.
