Photographic Design II is a photography course that explores the principles of photography through manual cameras, film processing, and alternative presentation techniques. The course is divided into six units covering photographic history, camera operation, exposure, composition, lighting manipulation, portraiture, and developing a portfolio. Students complete projects, tests, and journal assignments while developing their artistic voice and technical skills in photography. Grades are determined by projects, journals, participation, and a final exam. The goal is for students to understand photography's role in society and culture and to thoughtfully apply the elements of art and principles of design.
