• A system is some collection of equipment and
operations, usually with a boundary,
communicating with its environment by a set
of input and output signals
Ex: pressure vessel, pile line
• units is used to quantifying the variables
Ex: kelvin(k)
• Types:
FPS- Feet (ft), Pound (lb), Seconds (sec),
Fahrenheit (`F)
CGS- Centimeter (cm), Gram (g), Seconds (sec),
Celsius (`C)
MKS- Meter (M), Kilogram (Kg), Seconds (sec),
Celsius (`C)
