‘has’ and ‘have are the present tense
versions of the verb ‘to have’.
‘To have’ either shows possession or an action in a sentence, e.g.
I have a ginger cat called Biscuit.
George has a bath everyday.
It is important to be careful when choosing the correct form of the
verb for the subject of a sentence.
In the singular present form, the
correct use of ‘has’ and ‘have’ is:
I have

He has
She has
It has
I have a pink pencil case.
You have a new teacher.
He has lots of medals for judo.
She has a huge bag of sweets.
It has always been easy.
In the plural present form, we always
use ‘have’:
We have

They have
We have a small school field.
You have a spelling test, Class 6!
They have big smiles on their faces.

verb
