This is already built in Canvas, which is very convenient! • OERs can provide insights about how education should be free and more affordable for all users (students and educators)

Disadvantages • Creating OERs can be challenging, especially using certain copyrighted materials and their licenses on the internet • OERs can be redesigned from another user, depending on the copyright license • OERs take a lot of work to create initially, which frontloads the work for any educator or content creator making an OER • OERs can be used any not be credited to the creator, or you, if you are the creator of an excellent OER • OERs may be looked at as odd to students, which they may traditionally want a textbook instead.
