Mise En Scene • The casual clothing used is used to possibly indicate a normal day for them and no planning into the video therefore giving this live feeling to the music video. • This music video does not contain any females or anyone outside the band. This further adds to this feeling of making this video seem live and therefore more exciting for this particular audience. • The Instrumental props in the video are used to give the viewer this sense of the music video being live and therefore more lively and enjoyable for this particular genre. This is very conventional and used all across the heavy metal/rock genre(s). • The locations used can be seen as special and well thought about. They are not particularly conventional to this genre but reflect what is being spoken through the lyrics. For my own project, I hope to give a similar effect while keeping the locations as simple as possible and limited.
- 3. Editing • Unlike other music videos of this genre, the live feeling is not given to a high stage and editing has been used and can be noticed. The editing has been used to give the viewer a beautiful image of the world while keeping the music (audio) very intense.
- 4. Camera • Unlike a typical music video of this genre, shots are not close-ups but rather mid shots, long shots and extreme long shots. This is particularly to decrease intensity and show more of a calm view to the user while playing extremely intense audio. • Unlike other typical music videos of this genre, a variety of locations have been used while keeping a small amount of camera shots.
