CRITICAL TEACHING SKILLS FOR FOCUSING ATTENTION

1. Give examples three convergent and three divergent questions based
on the video with duration 1:29
    convergent
      a. How many three dimensional figure are there in the video?
      b. What is the formula of cylinder surface area?
      c. How many pairs of the same sides in the rectangular
         parallelpiped?
    Divergent
      a. How to get the formula of right triangular prism volume?
      b. What would you do first if you want to draw the rectangular
         parallelpiped?
      c. How to get formula of cylinder volume?

2. Give one example question for each level of Bloom's Taxonomy based
on the video with duration 4:34
    Knowledge
For instance: What is the definition of parallelogram?
    Comprehension
For instance: Explain in your own words about the theorem of
      opposite side on parallelogram.
    Application
For instance: Explain how to know that a diagonal and the
opposite side of parallelogram form two congruent angles.
    Analysis
For instance: How would you describe the opposite angle of a
      parallelogram?
 Synthesis:
For instance: Create another parallelogram with different angles
from the video to show that opposite angles of parallelogram are
     congruent.
   Evaluation
For instance: Predict when a figure said as a parallelogram?

3. Give one example question for each guideline for planning and
delivering questions based on the video with duration 4:57
  a. Be clear and concise
For instance: How many ways to solve linear equations in two
     variable?
  b. Use vocabulary that is appropriate for the age and ability of the
     students
For instance: Eighth grader: what do you know about solving linear
     equations using substitution method?
  c. Plan question that are short enough for students to remember.
For instance: What is the general formula of linear equation in two
     variable?
  d. Follow questions with time for students to think.
For instance: Teacher gives task to students for finding the value
(x, y) of and . Then, teacher gives time to
students for 5 minutes to finish it.
  e. Follow questions with redirections, prompting and probing as necessary
For instance: Teachers ask to students “what is the value (x, y) of
and ?” Then, teacher asks students to
use two methods that has been learned before, for getting the
     result.
f. Follow questions with honest feedback.
Teachers ask to students “what is the value (x, y) of
and ?” After that, students answer the value of
(x,y) is (2,5). Then, teachers response students’ answer that their
answer is incorrect. After that, teacher explains students the way
   to get correct answer.
g. When you ask questions of your students, your goal should be to involve
as many of them as possible.
For instance: Teacher asks students “Give some examples the form
of linear equations in two variables”.
h. Avoid ridiculous questions
For instance: Have you ever made linear equations in two variable
   in your daily activities?
