For a task, some audio clips required more editing than others, such as adjusting volume and direction. An unedited clip contained multiple sounds placed together to tell a story or create different sounds. A screenshot showed edited sounds placed together to create an ambient soundscape. Sounds were edited using pan and volume tools to make some sounds more prominent than others. Pan also allows sounds to be manipulated for surround sound. The screenshots explained how pitch and playback rate were edited for three sounds compared to one unedited sound. Virtual Studio Technology plugins were used to change sounds from their original to edited versions, transforming them into different sounds by making them louder or quieter.
