PTC Announces Fourth Quarter Fiscal Year 2019 Results
• License and subscription bookings in Q4’19 were $150 million,
$5 million above the high end of our guidance range driven by
strong bookings in IoT and AR, including a mega deal with our
strategic alliance partner Rockwell Automation. FY’19 license and
subscription bookings were $472 million, up 1% year over year or
4% on a constant currency basis.
• ARR per the new definition was $1,116 million, or $1,134
million at the guidance Fx rate, at the end of Q4’19, in line with
the targets we provided in September. This is a 10% increase, or
12% increase consistent with the guidance rate, compared to
Q4’18, reflecting the strength of our recurring revenue business.
• Operating cash flow was $55 million in Q4’19; FY’19 operating
cash flow was $285 million. FY’19 free cash flow was $221
million and adjusted free cash flow was $245 million, increases of
4% and 13%, respectively, over Q4’18. FY’19 adjusted free cash
flow excludes $25 million of restructuring payments related to our
workforce realignment and headquarters relocation.
Executive Commentary
President and CEO said “PTC’s ARR grew 12% in fiscal 2019
reflecting the strength of our technology in the markets we
serve and the value we provide to our customers. We also
successfully completed the transition to subscription licensing
and ended the year strong across key financial metrics including
revenue and margins. We also announced PTC’s intention to
acquire Onshape, creators of the first SaaS product development
platform that unites next-generation CAD, data management,
and collaboration tools. Onshape’s proven talent and technology
are the perfect complement to PTC’s market leading on-premise
CAD and PLM solutions, and will dramatically strengthen
PTC’s ability to participate in the highest growth part of the
market with a unique SaaS-based product offering. Most
importantly, Onshape will put PTC in a position to lead the

PTC to Acquire Leading SaaS Product Development Platform
Provider Onshape
PTC announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire
Onshape, creators of the first Software as a Service (SaaS) product
development platform that unites robust computer aided design
(CAD) with powerful data management and collaboration tools,
for approximately $470 million, net of cash acquired. The
acquisition is expected to accelerate PTC’s ability to attract new
customers with a SaaS-based product offering and position the
company to capitalize on the inevitable industry transition to SaaS.
Pending regulatory approval and satisfaction of other closing
conditions, the transaction is expected to be completed in
November 2019. This acquisition is the logical next step in PTC’s
overall evolution to a recurring revenue business model, the first
step of which was the company’s successful transition to
subscription licensing, completed in January 2019. The SaaS
model, while nascent in the CAD and PLM market, is rapidly
becoming industry best practice across most other software
domains.
Executive Commentary
"PTC has earned a reputation for successfully pursuing new
innovations that drive corporate growth,” said President and
CEO, PTC. “Building on the strong momentum we have with
our on-premises CAD and PLM businesses, we look to our
future and see a new growth play with SaaS. We see small and
medium-sized CAD customers in the high-growth part of the
CAD market shifting their interest toward SaaS delivery
models, and we expect interest from larger customers to grow
over time. The acquisition of Onshape complements our
on-premises business with the industry’s only proven, scalable
pure SaaS platform, which we expect will open new CAD and
PLM growth opportunities while positioning PTC to be the
leader as the market transitions toward the SaaS model.”

Clarizen Launches New Clarizen Go Features to Help Enterprises Drive
Agile Adoption

Solution Description
Clarizen, the global leader in enterprise collaborative work management, announced it has added several new features to its Clarizen Go task
management solution to enable enterprise teams to meet their goals while adopting simple agile workflows. Innovative companies like LogMeIn
and M Squared Lasers are using Clarizen Go to help their teams get more done faster, and make it easy for project stakeholders to manage and
visualize processes, status updates, and dependencies of both agile and waterfall work. Making the transition to agile is a gradual process, so
many enterprises are operating in a hybrid state with some teams, processes or projects becoming agile, while others are waterfall. A common
challenge is breaking down the silos that separate the teams and make it difficult to track who is working on what, and what progress they’re
making. Clarizen Go breaks down those silos by eliminating the need to update spreadsheets and other time-wasting manual processes, while
improving collaboration and providing project managers with the visibility they need across all enterprise work.
These new Clarizen Go features include:
• Work the way you prefer: Clarizen Go supports multiple methods of working, whether that’s Kanban, Scrum or Scrumban. Sprint planning and
tracking helps users make iterative progress towards a well-defined goal. It’s even possible to combine both Kanban and Scrum in one project or
product.
• Quickly identify and resolve bottlenecks: Summary views identify potential bottlenecks in advance to enable rebalancing the workload across
team members to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with anyone: Invite new internal collaborators as well as third party stakeholders, such as customers, partners, and stakeholders.

GE Healthcare Launches Edison Datalogue to Help Health Systems
Break Down Siloes and Improve the Care Experience
For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com
10
Solution Description
GE Healthcare today launched Edison™ Datalogue™, a new enterprise data management solution, aimed at connecting
data systems, devices, applications and clinicians to give health systems a more holistic view of their data, ultimately to
help improve clinical and financial outcomes. The new offering combines GE Healthcare’s vendor neutral archive (VNA),
analytics and collaboration tools to help clinicians share data and images across the care delivery network. GE Healthcare is
one of the only providers to bring together these critical elements into one comprehensive offering. The amount of data
generated within the healthcare industry is exploding. On average, one hospital stores 50 petabytes of data, and this figure is
growing 48 percent per year. [1] But this data, such as patient images, often resides across multiple departments, clinics and
hospitals, making it time consuming and inefficient to stitch the various types and sources of data together – hindering how
clinicians collaborate across the care pathway. Edison Datalogue will help speed up this process, reduce pressures on IT
departments and enhance the care delivery network by supporting clinician collaboration and providing health systems with
a more holistic clinical, operational and financial view of their data. Industry research indicates that a solution like Edison
Datalogue can help increase clinical productivity by up to 30 percent, saving up to $1 million annually through
consolidation and up to $50,000 per year in collaboration costs.

Bosch and xarvio™ Digital Farming Solutions of BASF are further intensifying their successful cooperation in the development of digital
solutions for farming. The companies have now established a project center that enables them to undertake their joint research and development
activities at the same location. Since 2016, employees of the two companies have already been working together on the smart spraying project, a
technology for precise herbicide application that significantly reduces the total amount of herbicides used. The market launch of Smart Spraying
is planned for 2021. Further joint activities are planned. As the sprayer passes over the field, its on-board cameras record the vegetation over the
entire area. A smart spraying management system analyzes the sensor signals online and identifies the presence of a crop plant or weed. The
system then controls the sprayer jets and the herbicide is applied as needed. Weed-free areas, on the other hand, remain herbicide-free. The entire
procedure – scanning, identification, and application – takes just a few milliseconds and is performed in a single processing step. Bosch’s focus
in the research and development cooperation is on the camera sensor technology, image processing and pattern recognition, control units, and
system connectivity. “In daily practical use in the field, the field sprayer with the smart spraying technology is connected to the xarvio FIELD
MANAGER, which uses various parameters to determine precisely which and how much plant protection product the respective crop needs,”
explains Tobias Menne, head of BASF Digital Farming. xarvio FIELD MANAGER is a digital solution that helps farmers make agronomic
decisions in various different areas of their work. The aim is to achieve more efficient and eco-friendly cultivation that ensures optimal use of
each section of field. Farmers can at any time view the field status, obtain recommendations for each field, and download a set of maps that
indicate the application recommendations for each of the individual field zones.

The SaaS model, while nascent in the CAD and PLM market, is rapidly becoming industry best practice across most other software domains. Executive Commentary "PTC has earned a reputation for successfully pursuing new innovations that drive corporate growth,” said President and CEO, PTC. “Building on the strong momentum we have with our on-premises CAD and PLM businesses, we look to our future and see a new growth play with SaaS. • 15. Solution Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Clarizen Launches New Clarizen Go Features to Help Enterprises Drive Agile Adoption For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 9 Solution Description Clarizen, the global leader in enterprise collaborative work management, announced it has added several new features to its Clarizen Go task management solution to enable enterprise teams to meet their goals while adopting simple agile workflows. Innovative companies like LogMeIn and M Squared Lasers are using Clarizen Go to help their teams get more done faster, and make it easy for project stakeholders to manage and visualize processes, status updates, and dependencies of both agile and waterfall work. Making the transition to agile is a gradual process, so many enterprises are operating in a hybrid state with some teams, processes or projects becoming agile, while others are waterfall. A common challenge is breaking down the silos that separate the teams and make it difficult to track who is working on what, and what progress they’re making. Clarizen Go breaks down those silos by eliminating the need to update spreadsheets and other time-wasting manual processes, while improving collaboration and providing project managers with the visibility they need across all enterprise work. These new Clarizen Go features include: • Work the way you prefer: Clarizen Go supports multiple methods of working, whether that’s Kanban, Scrum or Scrumban. Sprint planning and tracking helps users make iterative progress towards a well-defined goal. It’s even possible to combine both Kanban and Scrum in one project or product. • Quickly identify and resolve bottlenecks: Summary views identify potential bottlenecks in advance to enable rebalancing the workload across team members to ensure milestones and deadlines are met. • Collaborate with anyone: Invite new internal collaborators as well as third party stakeholders, such as customers, partners, and stakeholders.

Solution Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable GE Healthcare Launches Edison Datalogue to Help Health Systems Break Down Siloes and Improve the Care Experience For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 10 Solution Description GE Healthcare today launched Edison™ Datalogue™, a new enterprise data management solution, aimed at connecting data systems, devices, applications and clinicians to give health systems a more holistic view of their data, ultimately to help improve clinical and financial outcomes. The new offering combines GE Healthcare’s vendor neutral archive (VNA), analytics and collaboration tools to help clinicians share data and images across the care delivery network. GE Healthcare is one of the only providers to bring together these critical elements into one comprehensive offering. The amount of data generated within the healthcare industry is exploding. On average, one hospital stores 50 petabytes of data, and this figure is growing 48 percent per year. [1] But this data, such as patient images, often resides across multiple departments, clinics and hospitals, making it time consuming and inefficient to stitch the various types and sources of data together – hindering how clinicians collaborate across the care pathway. Edison Datalogue will help speed up this process, reduce pressures on IT departments and enhance the care delivery network by supporting clinician collaboration and providing health systems with a more holistic clinical, operational and financial view of their data. Industry research indicates that a solution like Edison Datalogue can help increase clinical productivity by up to 30 percent, saving up to $1 million annually through consolidation and up to $50,000 per year in collaboration costs.

  • 37. Partner Ecosystem Updates IT Shades Engage & Enable Bosch and BASF expand their cooperation for digital agriculture For any queries, Please write to marketing@itshades.com 28 Bosch and xarvio™ Digital Farming Solutions of BASF are further intensifying their successful cooperation in the development of digital solutions for farming. The companies have now established a project center that enables them to undertake their joint research and development activities at the same location. Since 2016, employees of the two companies have already been working together on the smart spraying project, a technology for precise herbicide application that significantly reduces the total amount of herbicides used. The market launch of Smart Spraying is planned for 2021. Further joint activities are planned. As the sprayer passes over the field, its on-board cameras record the vegetation over the entire area. A smart spraying management system analyzes the sensor signals online and identifies the presence of a crop plant or weed. The system then controls the sprayer jets and the herbicide is applied as needed. Weed-free areas, on the other hand, remain herbicide-free. The entire procedure – scanning, identification, and application – takes just a few milliseconds and is performed in a single processing step. Bosch’s focus in the research and development cooperation is on the camera sensor technology, image processing and pattern recognition, control units, and system connectivity. “In daily practical use in the field, the field sprayer with the smart spraying technology is connected to the xarvio FIELD MANAGER, which uses various parameters to determine precisely which and how much plant protection product the respective crop needs,” explains Tobias Menne, head of BASF Digital Farming. xarvio FIELD MANAGER is a digital solution that helps farmers make agronomic decisions in various different areas of their work. The aim is to achieve more efficient and eco-friendly cultivation that ensures optimal use of each section of field. Farmers can at any time view the field status, obtain recommendations for each field, and download a set of maps that indicate the application recommendations for each of the individual field zones.
