The study evaluates the effectiveness of municipal solid waste management in residential and commercial areas in Batu Pahat, Malaysia, following the implementation of the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Act 2007. Data was collected through surveys and interviews, revealing public agreement on the waste collection system and highlighting issues such as leachate spills. Overall, the results indicate a satisfactory performance of the waste management system, with suggestions for further research using additional assessment tools.
