DEFINATION
TYPESOFInduTech
APPLICATIONS
Indutech is an important
market segment for
technical textiles, which are
used as products and solutions
for filtration, purification,
mechanical engineering,
chemical industry, and many
other industrial applications.
TYPESOFInduTech
APPLICATIONS
Decatising Cloth
Bolting Cloth
Coated abrasives
Drive Belts
Computer Printer Ribbon
Ropes and Cordages
APPLICATIONS
Decatising cloth, also known as
Decatising wrapper is an industrial
fabric used in Decatising
machines. Decatising cloth is a
polyamide/cotton or
polyester/cotton blended woven
fabric available in weights ranging
from 400 gsm to 600 gsm
Decatising
Cloth
APPLICATIONS
Bolting Cloth
Bolting cloth is a mesh fabric used
primarily for screen printing in
Textile industry. The fabric also has
applications in filtration. Bolting
cloth is a woven fabric
manufactured from polyester and
nylon yarns and is available in a
variety of mesh sizes.
APPLICATIONS
Coated
AbrasivesAn abrasive material is used to
finish a work piece through
rubbing the surface of the work
piece. Abrasives are primarily
used in industrial applications like
grinding, polishing, buffing,
honing, cutting, smoothening etc.
APPLICATIONS
Drive Belts
A belt drive is a method of
transferring rotary motion
between two shafts. A belt drive
includes one pulley on each shaft
and one or more continuous belts
over the two pulleys.
APPLICATIONS
Computer Printer
Ribbon
The computer printer cartridge of a Dot
matrix printer (DMP) consists of a cassette
and inked fabric called the printer ribbon.
The cartridge is replaced when no further
prints can be availed, however in order to
save on costs only the ribbon portion is
changed which is called the refill. The
Nylon 6 yarn is woven into a fabric which is
cut to required size for making computer
printer ribbons.
APPLICATIONS
Ropes and
Cordages
The ropes are generally available in 3-strand,
4-strand and 8-strand with standard lengths
of length 110, 220, 330 and 440 metres and
other customer specifications. The diametre
of the ropes varies from ½ inch to 7 inches.
The functional specifications of ropes are
Excellent strength, Controlled elongation,
Abrasion resistance, Heat resistance, Non-
corrosive, Light weight, High flexibility , Inert
to chemicals.

AREA
Sports textile is one of the branch of technical
textile. Now a days sophisticated technology are
used in technical textile to produce sports wear.
Textile has done it successfully . Hi-tech textiles in
sport are nothing new. In recent years we have
seen the design of fabrics that can take moisture
away from the body, patches on all black jerseys
so players can dry their hands for better grip,
fabrics that can sense high impact stresses on
players joints, and fabrics that can sense heart rate,
temperature and other physiological data .
PROPERTIES
APPLICATION
AREA
1. Comfort ability
2. High electrical conductivity
3. Light weight
4. Highly effecting in moisture management
5. Good perspiration fastness
6. Heat conductivity
7. Very less in weight & feature elasticity properties
8. Hygienic and less Bacteria bearer
9. Strength and durability
10. UVR proof
APPLICATION
1. Swimming costume
2. Artificial turfs, sleeping bags, ballooning and
parachute fabrics
3. Material technology and design of
equipment
4. Biomechanics and the engineering aspects
of sports machinery
5. Surface treatment of equipment
6. Sports footwear

• Medical textile is one of the best innovative
subjects of the technical textile sector.
Medical textile also known as
bio-medical
textile which is actually the mixture of
textile technology and medical science . The
main purpose of medical textile is improved
human health and wellness. Major sector of
medical textile are health care , hygiene ,
new fiber technology and artificial medical
textile products . Medical textile is very
important for human health therefore this
sector is fastest growing sector in textile
industry but in our country in textile sector
medical textile’s condition is so poor . Only
4% produced in our country.

3. Implantable Materials (suture, vascular
grafts, artificial ligament
artificial joints)
4. Healthcare/Hygiene products (bedding,
clothing, surgical gowns,
cloths,
wipes)
CONCLUSION
Medical Textiles are one of the
dynamically expanding sectors and
development of same is to convert
painful days of patients into comfortable
days.
As medical procedures continue and
transform the demand for textile
materials is bound to grow and grow.
