Technology question
- 1. Throughout my project I have used lots of different media products to asist me through the research, planning, construction and evlautation. To start with my group and I used a number of different media products to help me research genre conventions, audiences and existing products. I personally used an Apple IPad, Apple Mac, Samsung Netbook, Apple Macbook Pro and an Apple IPhone. I used this Media produt to the research element to my project and I also edited my Prelimary Task using IMovie. An app that can be bought in the App Store. This product allowed me to be portible with my work and made it easy to take notes when we were filming . This app allowed me to Edit footgage shot and also add transitions and effects onto the footage. It made editing portible and easily accesable. It was an incredibly easy software to use but developed my learning when creating a video or new product. The product itself was incredibly easy to use and if I were to re-do this project I would used this product again. This media product allowed me all the way through my project as it had all the necessary applications that made it easy and had a quality result. This product is quite old so it limited the amount of use and the amount of storage. If I were to re-do this project I would choose to use a more recent and up-to date model so I could cater to the needs of the project. This specific product is an Apple Emac. It is a tradtional and family ornimant, which why I felt it necessary to use it. I wanted to utilize the media products I have available.
- 2. This media product is the netbook that our group used at school whenever we needed to go to different locations and shoot extra footage. It allowed me to be mobile and work. This media product is another portible device that allowed me to research while being mobile and it has all of the applications that make it perfect for this project. This product would be perfect for this project as it is new enough that it can cater to this amount of use and can be used for every single area of the project, bar filming. This media product allowed me to contact my group whenever I needed to and also has access to the internet so I could resarch whenever I felt necessary. It also allowed me to write notes incase I need to write something down. Throghout the planning section I used lots of media products to assist me. I used computers to help me create work and I used many applications within these products. They helped me present my work aestheticlly and effectively. I used this product to create my written work and also create the artwork for my product. This made it easy to create work as I could do it on the move and the product is incredibly portible and the battery life is vey impressive. This product would be perfect for this project as it caters to all the needs, research, planning, construction and evaluation. These are the media products that I used within my IPad and Macbook. They were excellent as they were able to cater to all the needs of the planning, research and
- 3. evaluation stages to the project. I found it easy to use and accessable. If I were to do this project again I would use more aesthetically pleasing programmes such as Prezi. This adds something extra onto the work if it apeals to the artistic side to the viewer. Blogger is the online presenation website I used to create my portfolio of work. It allowed me to quickly upload my work and could be editied easily to make changes. Pictures and videos could be upladed and embeded within the blog. Blogspot also allowed for the embeding of documents such as Google Docs, Scribd files and powerpoints. I would still choose to use these programmes if I did this project again as it caters to all of the needs of the project. I had never used blogger before and I found it incredibly easy to use. There were no real problems with the website so I found it an excellent way to display my portfolio. These are all online documents I used to present my work. They allowed me to upload word documetns and powerpoints. I could then copy the embeded code and paste it onto a blogger post. They made it easy for me to quickly upload work and I could make changes whenever I needed to. Throughout the constrution of my project I used a couple of different softwares to create my product. Adobe premier pro and IMovie. I used them both for different jobs but they allowed me to create interesting and unique products. Comparing the two programmes I can evaluate that IMovie is more user friendly and good for beginners, but Adobe Preimier Pro is more proffesional with more effects and can produce a more final and quality product. This software is Adobe Premier Pro . I used the software to create the title sequence for my groups product. It was pretty difficult to work but once I got the hang of the tools it became an easy use software that allowed for outstanding results. I would definitely use this product if I were to do this project again as it gave outstanding results that looked quality and proffesional. The only negative aspect to it is the user face is complicated and hard to get used to. The advantages to this programme are that it is on the school hardrive, therefore it is free, the teachers are trained to use it which gave me the chance
- 4. to get quick and easy help. After I had created the title sequence it gave me the key skills that I needed if I wanted to create another product. This allowed me have key skills that made me a proficient user to create more deveolped products. These are the media products my group and I used to create our final product. We used IMovie on a MacBook Pro to construct our product. The software was relatively easy to use and Mac products have easy help buttons so it was a nice piece of software to use to create our product. Throughout the entire project I Used Remote Access ro access school work from my home or any palce with WiFi. This was incredibly helpful through the fact that I could acess my work whenever I needed it. This is a very positive aspect to my project as I could access and download my work from anywhere. Througout the enitre project I used Facebook to contact my group. It is crucial to be able to get information to each other about our project, It allowed our group to contact each other quickly and easily. Analysing this social network site I can safely say that it is asy to use and very accesable through computers, tablets and mobile phones. The only negatvie point is that you cant be certain your gorup member is online and may not get or respond to you very quickly. This is why mobile phones are the best for the task of contacting others. Throughout every single section to this project I used google as the search engine for every research, planning, construction and evaluation section. This website was perfect for my project because it was an endless resource of information and could asist me in so many ways. The only negative aspect to it is that the amount of resources availiable is endless and can be easily mistaken for something its noThroughout this project I have learnt that to create a product like the one me and my group are creating you need to have access to a wide range of media technologies and products. To make the product look professional and feasible you would need to be able to use the most modern products. As the most modern product can easily intertwine and connect to each other it is the perfect time to create something like this.
