Editor's Notes

  • #4: Make sure that your teams have made good progress on the business plan, 100 word description and the presentation slides. You’ll soon be submitting these for Technovation Global Challenge
  • #5: In your video pitch, you need to make sure everyone speaks. You only have four minutes for the pitch, so make a clear, convincing argument. This pitch and deck can be as creative as you want. You want to sell your app, but more than that, you want to win the judges over with the idea of your app.
  • #6: In lesson 9 you watch a few of the winning pitch videos. We are going to watch a video about World Pitch so you can get an idea of what it looks like as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aH-gi0FOmg This will give you an idea of what World Pitch will look like and how teams organized their presentation and slide deck.
  • #7: We are going to begin practicing your pitch. (MENTOR/COACH: have students turn to page 34 of their workbook). You will have a chance to give each other feedback and make suggestions to the pitch before we begin taping. Make sure that everyone stays positive and encouraging.
  • #8: Now that we are done practicing your pitch let’s start to practice in front of the camera. We are going to work on the first cut of the pitch video and app demo video. Here are some tips when taping a video presentation.
