This document describes the preparation of reagents and procedure for chemical oxygen demand (COD) analysis. It details the preparation of a digestion solution containing potassium dichromate, mercury sulfate, and sulfuric acid. A sulfuric acid reagent is also prepared by adding silver sulfate to concentrated sulfuric acid. The procedure involves adding a waste water sample, digestion solution, and sulfuric acid reagent to a vial, digesting it at 150°C for 2 hours, then measuring COD using a colorimeter.
