TETHERED AIR
This transportation design is not limited by geography,
it can be applied to many unique scenarios where transport is
currently impossible or impractical.
The patented design uses three
elements to create an
atmospherically-lifted multi-
tethered structure:
1. an atmospheric-lifting device
(such as an aerostat or a kite),
2. primary structural anchor lines
(shown in red) connecting
between ground anchors and
the apex, and
3. a camera/monitoring
equipment-handling module
with secondary cargo
positioning lines (shown in
white).
TETHERED AIR
The multi-tethered “structure” is maintained in a semi-
stationary position in the atmosphere. This tether “structure”
supports cabled cargo-handling operations within the three-
dimensional space between the ground and the
atmospherically-suspended structure. This allows cargo loads
to move directly from source to destination in that space.
The Tethered Air robotic crane allows high
speed access to nearly any ground point no
matter how complex the topography. It
provides functionality of powered flight
without severe costs or physical constraints
of aircraft, such as fuel efficiency, noise, and
cargo capacity.
