Why are computers so important?
• Computer is an electronic device used in almost every
field even where it is most unexpected. That is why this
age is called as the era of IT. ... Computer has become
very important nowadays because it is very much
accurate, fast and can accomplish many tasks easily.
Why is computer helpful to us?
• Computers make life easier for human beings in various
ways. They allow people to reconnect with friends they
haven't seen in decades and to watch television shows
that they may have missed during the week. People are
even able to complete a college degree or work from
home solely depending on computers.
MONITOR
A computer monitor is an electronic device that shows pictures for
computers.Monitors often look similar to televisions. The main difference
between a monitorand a television is that a monitor does not have a
television tuner to change channels. Monitors often have higher display
resolution than televisions.
The main function of a computer monitor is to display video and
graphical information generated by the computers graphics adapter,
allowing the user to interact with the computer. It is categorized as an
output device.
CPU
A central processing unit (CPU) is the electronic circuitry within a
computer that carries out the instructions of a computer program by
performing the basic arithmetic, logical, control and input/output (I/O)
operations specified by the instructions.
The computer does its primary work in a part of the machine we cannot
see, a control center that converts data input to information output. This
control center, called the central processing unit (CPU), is a highly
complex, extensive set of electronic circuitry that executes stored
program instructions.
KEYBOARD
In computing, a computer keyboard is a typewriter-style device which
uses an arrangement of buttons or keys to act as mechanical levers or
electronic switches. Following the decline of punch cards and paper
tape, interaction via teleprinter-style keyboardsbecame the main input
method for computers.
A computer keyboard is an input device used to enter characters and
functions into the computer system by pressing buttons, or keys. It is
the primary device used to enter text. A keyboard typically
contains keys for individual letters, numbers and special characters, as
well as keys for specific functions.
MOUSE
A computer mouse is a hand-held pointing device that detects two-
dimensional motion relative to a surface. This motion is typically
translated into the motion of a pointer on a display, which allows a
smooth control of the graphical user interface.
A mouse is a handheld pointing device used to position a cursor on a
computer screen. This allows the user to select items stored on a
computer and, subsequently, perform actions on those items.
MICROPHONE
Microphone. A microphone is a device that captures audio by
converting sound waves into an electrical signal. This signal can be
amplified as an analog signal or may be converted to a digital signal,
which can be processed by a computer or other digital audio device.
Loudspeaker, a transducer that turns an electrical signal into sound
waves, is the functional opposite of a microphone. Since a conventional
speaker is constructed much like a dynamic microphone (with a
diaphragm, coil and magnet), speakers can actually work "in reverse"
as microphones.
SPEAKERS
A device that converts analog audio signals into the equivalent air
vibrations in order to make audible sound. When CRT monitors were
the norm, speakers designed for computers were shielded to avoid
magnetic interference with the CRT's magnetic coil. Getting Smaller
All the Time.
Speakers. ... Regardless of their design, the purpose of speakers is
to produce audio output that can be heard by the
listener. Speakers are transducers that convert electromagnetic
waves into sound waves. The speakers receive audio input from a
device such as a computer or an audio receiver.
PRINTER
A printer is a device that accepts text and graphic output from
a computer and transfers the information to paper, usually to standard
size sheets of paper. Printers vary in size, speed, sophistication, and
cost. In general, more expensive printers are used for higher-resolution
color printing.
In 1938, Chester Carlson invented a dry printing process called
electrophotography commonly called a Xerox, the foundation
technology for laser printers to come. For years, nobody seemed to
pay any interest to Carson's invention.
WEB CAMERA
A webcam is a video camera that feeds or streams its image in real
time to or through a computer to a computer network. ... Unlike an
IP camera (which connects using Ethernet or Wi-Fi), a webcam is
generally connected by a USB cable, or similar cable, or built
into computerhardware, such as laptops.
A webcam is a small camera attached to a computer. They serve a
variety of purposes, from taking still images to sending a live video
over conference calls. Many laptops have a webcam built in to the
computer screen, but externalwebcams are also sold.
Technology has forever changed the world we
live in. We're online, in one way or another, all
day long. Our phones and computers have
become reflections of our personalities, our
interests, and our identities. They hold much
that is important to us. ~~~~ James Comey
