The concept

The Concept Original Artist – Dizzee Rascal Song Title – “Bonkers” The concept of the video is I came up with different ideas to match up with the song as I wanted to do something original, not some you usually see in music videos. I included clowns in my media music video because this isn’t really what you see in music videos and it goes with the title as it is seen as strange and crazy. The inspiration I got to make my music video is from Chemical Brothers – Galvanize, I liked the idea of rebellious teenagers in face paint dancing, trying to get into clubs etc. At first I thought of clowns in my music video but then I thought of another video that has clowns included that would give me inspiration. In the first scene I want to film an over the bridge image, I wanted to film the motorway with cars passing. My idea was to speed up the cars going in fast motion. Also I filmed in my friend’s car in the front window of him driving in fast motion as well. The second scene I came up with was the park scene. I wanted to film this in pitch black so it was in the evening, and use torches to focus on the two clown characters’ faces. The objects we used during this music video scene were the swings and the glow sticks, for the glow in the dark effect. The third scene was the estate scene, where the three characters I included (Darren, James and Sam) was having fun, being rebellious and doing crazy things as the title “Bonkers” suggests. Inside the flat, I filmed the two characters (Darren and James) walking down the stairs as they make their way outside. I thought this would be a good opening to the song along with the car scene. The fourth scene is the dance scene which includes three dancers dancing outside near a red light. No effects were used for the red light, I filmed this near a red light and that made the filming of this scene really good.
