Rom 14:10-12

10 But why do you judge your brother? Or why do
you show contempt for your brother? For we shall
all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. 11
For it is written: "As I live, says the LORD, every
knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall
confess to God." 12 So then each of us shall give
account of himself to God.

Acts 18:12-13

When Gallio was proconsul of Achaia, the Jews
with one accord rose up against Paul and brought
him to the judgment seat, 13 saying, "This fellow
persuades men to worship God contrary to the
law."

John 5:22

For the Father judges no one, but has committed
all judgment to the Son

2 Cor 5:10

For we must all appear before the judgment seat
of Christ, that each one may receive the things
done in the body, according to what he has done,
whether good or bad.

Rev 20:11-15

Then I saw a great white throne and Him
who sat on it, from whose face the earth
and the heaven fled away. And there was
found no place for them. 12 And I saw the
dead, small and great, standing before God,
and books were opened. And another book
was opened, which is the Book of Life. And
the dead were judged according to their
works, by the things which were written in

Rev 20:11-15

…were in it, and Death and Hades delivered
up the dead who were in them. And they
were judged, each one according to his
works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast
into the lake of fire. This is the second
death. 15 And anyone not found written in
the Book of Life was cast into the lake of
fire.

Mic 7:19

Once again you will have compassion on us.
You will trample our sins under your feet
and throw them into the depths of the
ocean!

John 5:24

"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears
My word and believes in Him who sent Me
has everlasting life, and shall not come into
judgment, but has passed from death into
life.

Rom 8:1,2

So now there is no condemnation for those
who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 For the power
of the life-giving Spirit has freed you through
Christ Jesus from the power of sin that leads
to death.

At the Judgment Seat of Christ

2. Rewards

2 Cor 5:10

For we must all appear before the judgment
seat of Christ, that each one may receive the
things done in the body, according to what
he has done, whether good or bad.

1 Cor 4:5

So be careful not to jump to conclusions
before the Lord returns as to whether or not
someone is faithful. When the Lord comes,
he will bring our deepest secrets to light and
will reveal our private motives. And then
God will give to everyone whatever praise is
due.

Dan 12:3

Those who are wise will shine like the
brightness of the heavens, and those who
lead many to righteousness, like the stars for
ever and ever.

Rev 4:9-11 Whenever the living creatures
give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits
on the throne and who lives for ever and
ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down
before him who sits on the throne, and
worship him who lives for ever and ever.
They lay their crowns before the throne and
say: 11 "You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power, for
you created all things, and by your will they
were created and have their being."

The life you are living right
now will determine the
rewards you receive at the
judgment seat.

When we see where we are
falling short, don’t condemn
yourself, rejoice in the
opportunity to fix it!

1. How we treat other believers.
Matt 10:41-42 If you welcome a prophet as one
who speaks for God, you will receive the same
reward a prophet gets. And if you welcome good
and godly people because of their godliness, you
will be given a reward like theirs. 42 And if you
give even a cup of cold water to one of the least of
my followers, you will surely be rewarded."
Heb 6:10For God is not unfair. He will not forget
how hard you have worked for him and how you
have shown your love to him by caring for other
Christians, as you still do.

2. How we employ our God-given talents
and abilities
1 Peter 4:10 God has given gifts to each of
you from his great variety of spiritual gifts.
Manage them well so that God's generosity
can flow through you.
2 Tim 1:6 This is why I remind you to fan into
flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I
laid my hands on you.

3. How we use our money
1 Tim 6:18,19 Tell them to use their money to do good.
They should be rich in good works and should give
generously to those in need, always being ready to share
with others whatever God has given them. 19 By doing this
they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation
for the future so that they may take hold of real life.
Matt 6:2-4 When you give a gift to someone in need,
don't shout about it as the hypocrites do — blowing
trumpets in the synagogues and streets to call attention to
their acts of charity! I assure you, they have received all
the reward they will ever get. 3 But when you give to
someone, don't tell your left hand what your right hand is
doing. 4 Give your gifts in secret, and your Father, who
knows all secrets, will reward you.

4. How well we endure personal injustice
and being mistreated.
Matt 5:11-12 God blesses you when you are
mocked and persecuted and lied about
because you are my followers. 12 Be happy
about it! Be very glad! For a great reward
awaits you in heaven. And remember, the
ancient prophets were persecuted, too.
Rom 8:18 For I consider that the sufferings of
this present time are not worthy to be
compared with the glory which shall be
revealed in us.

5. How we endure suffering and trials.
James 1:12-13 God blesses the people who
patiently endure testing. Afterward they will
receive the crown of life that God has
promised to those who love him.
Luke 6:27, 28"But if you are willing to listen, I
say, love your enemies. Do good to those who
hate you. 28 Pray for the happiness of those
who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you?

6. How we spend our time
Ps 90:9-12
We live our lives beneath your wrath. We end our lives
with a groan. 10 Seventy years are given to us! Some
may even reach eighty. But even the best of these
years are filled with pain and trouble; soon they
disappear, and we are gone. 11 Who can comprehend
the power of your anger? Your wrath is as awesome as
the fear you deserve. 12 Teach us to make the most of
our time, so that we may grow in wisdom.
Eph 5:15-16
See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but
as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are
evil.

7. How we run the race of God.
1 Cor 9:24 Remember that in a race everyone
runs, but only one person gets the prize. You
also must run in such a way that you will win.
Heb 12:1
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded
by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay
aside every weight, and the sin which so
easily ensnares us, and let us run with
endurance the race that is set before us,

8. How effectively we control our fleshly
appetites.
1 Cor 9:25-27 All athletes practice strict self-
control. They do it to win a prize that will fade
away, but we do it for an eternal prize. 26 So I
run straight to the goal with purpose in every
step. I am not like a boxer who misses his
punches. 27 I discipline my body like an
athlete, training it to do what it should.
Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to
others I myself might be disqualified.

9. How many souls we witness to and win
for Christ.
Dan 12:3 Those who are wise shall shine like
the brightness of the firmament,
and those who turn many to righteousness
like the stars forever and ever.
1 Thess 2:19-20 For what is our hope, or joy,
or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the
presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His
coming? 20 For you are our glory and joy.

10. How much the rapture means to us and
shapes our lives.
2 Tim 4:8 Finally, there is laid up for me the
crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the
righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day,
and not to me only but also to all who have
loved His appearing.

11. How faithful we are to God’s word and
God’s people.
2 Tim 4:1-3 I charge you therefore before God and
the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and
the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: 2
Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of
season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all
longsuffering and teaching.
Heb 13:17 Obey those who rule over you, and be
submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as
those who must give account. Let them do so with
joy and not with grief, for that would be
unprofitable for you.

12. How hospitable we are to strangers
Luke 14:12-14 Then He also said to him who invited Him,
"When you give a dinner or a supper, do not ask your
friends, your brothers, your relatives, nor rich neighbors,
lest they also invite you back, and you be repaid. 13 But
when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the
lame, the blind. 14 And you will be blessed, because they
cannot repay you; for you shall be repaid at the
resurrection of the just."
Matt 25:35-36 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I
was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and
you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was
sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to
Me.'

13. How faithful we are in our vocations
Col 3:22-24 You slaves must obey your
earthly masters in everything you do. Try to
please them all the time, not just when they
are watching you. Obey them willingly
because of your reverent fear of the Lord. 23
Work hard and cheerfully at whatever you do,
as though you were working for the Lord
rather than for people. 24 Remember that
the Lord will give you an inheritance as your
reward, and the Master you are serving is
Christ.

14. How we support others in ministry.
Matt 10:40-42 "Anyone who welcomes you
is welcoming me, and anyone who welcomes
me is welcoming the Father who sent me. 41
If you welcome a prophet as one who speaks
for God, you will receive the same reward a
prophet gets. And if you welcome good and
godly people because of their godliness, you
will be given a reward like theirs. 42 And if
you give even a cup of cold water to one of
the least of my followers, you will surely be
rewarded."

15. How we use our tongues.
Matt 12:36 And I tell you this, that you must give
an account on judgment day of every idle word you
speak.
James 3:6, 9 And the tongue is a fire, a world of
iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members
that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the
course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell. 9 With
it we bless our God and Father, and with it we
curse men, who have been made in the similitude
of God. 10 Out of the same mouth proceed
blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things
ought not to be so

If it’s broken, don’t ignore it,
or beat yourself up over it,
Just ask God to Help you Fix it!
