The old man explained to the manager that he has found happiness through living simply and being content with what he has, rather than constantly wanting more. While the manager thought he must be unhappy living in a small house and owning just one truck, the farmer was happy because his simple possessions fulfilled his needs. The farmer said that true happiness comes from having a happy mind, not money or possessions, and that being content with what you have, rather than constantly wanting more, allows one to find happiness.
The poor man
- 1. The old man."To who are poor……
- 2. Few years ago I was in a journey to a small village in my country.I was driving my car through very beautiful countryside scenes.Suddenly I saw my car’s engine is boiling.So I stopped my car and looked around for a house to get some water.Finally I saw a small house which situated at the center of a cultivated land.
- 3. I went there.I saw a old man who was working at the land.I asked him some water to put in to my engine cooling system.He served me not only with water but also with a friendly smile.So I thought to talk with him for a little while.
- 4. He was a poor farmer. Who was trying to find something just for a day.He was very kind and honest.So I realized to help him with a good job with a fine salary.I told him ”Dear sir, I understood that you are a really good and honest person. So I like to help you by giving a good job.”From that you can earn a good salary; Buy a new house from the city; Buy a new car and spend a happy ,successful and comfortable life time.
- 5. Poor man answered me, “Thank you very much sir, But it is not necessary your help. Because I already have what you told me to get by earning money. I meant happiness, successfulness an comfortableness.He further said, ”I have them lot. Sometimes more than you have. ”. I replied him with a smile; “That is impossible. I am a manager of a multinational organization. So I have a big income.So I have got a big house, many vehicles, many cloths, and everything what I need to live.But you doesn’t.So you must be not happy like me.”
- 6. Farmer replied me again “Actually sir, I don’t need a big house. My house is more than enough for my needs. I am happy because I have no expectations about a big house.”I don’t need many vehicles, My only one old and small truck fulfill my all necessary needs. If I can happy from what I get. What the reason to be unhappy.I don’t have many cloths, But I have enough to wear. So I am in happy. There is no reason for unhappy. My income is not small for me. Because, It can fulfill the needs of my simple life style.

Dear sir,If some one need 1 billion Euros,He can be happy by earning 1 billion Euros,If some one need nothing,He can be happy by finding nothing,Happiness is coming with thoughts,Not with money or something else,So try to make your mind happy,Happy mind will give you happiness,Happiness will give you comfortableness and successfulness.
- 8. Finally the poor man said,“Sir try to be happy what you get. If you don’t expect more than what you get, You will be happy.No one can get happy, If someone expect more than what he can got. Even he got the ownership of the whole world.
- 9. I understood that I invited to the wrong person.At last I said buy to that poor , old…………… No……..At last I said buy to that old person and started my journey again .
