The study investigates the relationship between neuroticism and English language learning strategies among 213 Iranian female university students majoring in English. Results indicate a significant connection between the neuroticism trait and the use of various learning strategies, including memory, cognitive, metacognitive, and social strategies. Four instruments were employed: the Strategy Inventory for Language Learning (SILL), Neo-Five Factors Inventory (NEO-FFI), TOEFL, and a background questionnaire to assess participants' language learning strategies and personality traits.
