The FBI sends Agent Clarice Starling to interview the imprisoned psychiatrist Dr. Hannibal Lecter to gain psychological insight into a serial killer kidnapping and murdering young women. Dr. Lecter will only help Starling if she reveals details about herself, forcing her to confront her own demons. Her twisted relationship with Dr. Lecter leads her to face the demented killer, who may be too powerful for her to stop.
