Yosemite National Park is located in California and contains the Merced River. It includes many important waterfalls like Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls. The park has over 130 species of flowering plants, 31 types of trees like pine and cedar, and is home to 220 bird species. Wildlife in the park includes black bears, mule deer, coyotes, marmots and rattlesnakes as well as great grey owls, Steller's jays, ravens and peregrine falcons.
