On average, the temperatures at Yosemite National Park

Yosemite’s Size and Climate
History of Yosemite National Park
Yosemite Valley was first "discovered" by non-Native Americans
in 1851 when a group of Mariposa Battalion soldiers entered the
valley during the Mariposa Indian War. The Ahwahneechee, a
Native American tribe of the Miwok people, were among the first
people to settle in the Yosemite Valley area.
Yosemite became a national park in 1890, thanks in part to the
advocacy of naturalist John Muir and others who recognized the
need to protect the area.
The park was one of the earliest national parks established in the
USA. Today, Yosemite National Park attracts millions of visitors
annually with its awe-inspiring beauty and rich natural heritage.
