This document provides a thesis submitted by Sanna Nuojua to Aalto University School of Economics that examines establishing an international service network in an industrial context from a capability perspective. The thesis aims to understand how a service network is established, identify the actors and roles present, and examine the managerial capabilities needed. It utilizes a single case study of an industrial company through interviews and secondary data analysis. The conclusions identify two types of solution partners in the network, discuss their different roles, and classify the managerial capabilities into four groups: strategic and technical, interaction and communication, relationship building, and international experience.
