By Thomas, Mohammed and Liam. The blitz in the night.
When I was about to get into my ragged bed, I heard the deafening sound of the bombs. I was petrified and apprehensive. Suddenly I heard a sharp knock on the door. It was the neighbors. Quickly, I got with them and bolted to the diminutive iron shelter, hoping the danger would go.
I in haled the cold air whilst I sprinted to the diminutive cold shelter. Inside it was cramped and hot. Further more it was damp and vile. The atrocious floor was filled with sick due to the majority of us was ill. To keep them selves entertained we played cards and poker which was not that fun as the noise outside was horrendous. It was petrifying. We were all there except Mr and Mrs Smith.
After the night had passed the sirens stopped. I was relieved! When I got out, I found most of our street obliterated. Only the sweet shop had survived. When I was informed Mr Jenkins, the owner of the sweet shop had bee killed, I was upset. Even though lots of things had been destroyed we still had to go to school. I wondered who had survived.
