To the Editor;

We applaud Attorney General Mike Mc Grath for ruling that Montana Law requires
health insurance plans to cover prescription contraceptives if they cover other perception
drugs, and urge Blue Cross Shield of Montana to implement the necessary change in its policies
immediately. At the same time, we must challenge Blue Cross’s blanket assertion that covering
contraceptives adds to health insurance costs (“Blue Cross won’t challenge AG’s ruling on
contraceptive coverage.” October 29)
After the federal government added contraceptive benefits for its employees in 1998.
The U.S Office of Personal Management found that adding the coverage did not increase
premium costs. Moreover, a number of studies demonstrate – as common sense suggests- that
it is far less expensive to prevent unwanted pregnancies than to cover all of their attendant
costs. For example, the National Business Group on Health (NBGH), representing 160 national
and multinational employers, estimated that failing to cover contraceptives could cost an
employer 15-17% more than covering them.
All health insurance companies and employer should realize that contraceptive
coverage is a win-win proposition: it guarantees that women receive the preventive health care
need, and can actually save money.

                                                                               Sincerely,

                                                                         Judith C. Appelbaum

description or a document that narrates the summary of your personal, educational,
and professional background. In psychological terms it is a small reflection of your past
   and your overall personality.

skills and experience to an employer.
   2. Relevant; Make the reader pay attention by using action verbs that convey
      measurable accomplishments and problem-solving skills.
   3. Concise; Resume language should be succinct and expressive. Use the minimum
number of words necessary to convey meaning. Use precise action verbs. Avoid
      personal pronouns.
   4. Quality-Oriented; – Absolutely NO MISTAKES – spelling, grammar, or formatting.
   5. Visually Appealing; Does your resume look attractive and balanced? (space, font size
readable, headings highlighted – boldface works well, ect).

   The meaning of Jobs Application letter;

Job application letter is a letter use to apply for jobs and are usually equipped
with a curriculum vitae. In a job application letter should you write and describe the
abilities possessed by the applicants in accordance with the position or job title offered
   by the company.

   The characteristic of Jobs Application letter;

   1. Positivity; Quality cover letters are written in an enthusiastic tone. Simply going on
about your past work experience and successes is not only boring for the reader but
often wholly irrelevant to the matter at hand, which is to land an interview.
   2. Perspicacity; To many job seekers, their professional experience is so familiar to
them that they tend to assume sweeping, generalized descriptions of their prior
professional experience will be understood by recruiters and human resources
      professionals.
   3. Initialization; Effective cover letters should initiate action. Close your letter by
stating that you are looking forward to an interview and that you are eager to learn
      more about the position.
4. There are the steps to write an editorial letter;

a. STEP 1: Prewriting—Stating Your Purpose; Before star to write, we must know and
think what we really want to say. That’s a letter to the editor must be brief (no more
   than 300 words).
b. STEP 2: Prewriting—Planning the Supporting Details; Planning the supporting details
calls for two thought processes. First, with you statement of purpose in front of you,
think about the examples, situations, illustrations, descriptions, comparisons, analogies,
causes, or effects that will help you explain your point of view.
c. STEP 3: Prewriting—Organizing the Details; Choose a logical plan of organization. First,
see chronological order, spatial order, and order of importance in the Glossary. And
then, think about the many kinds of development available to you as a letter writer. The
last, think again about the audience analysis and using all that information, list the
details in their most effective order.
d. STEP 4: Writing—Following the Plan; As you write, keep in mind the items listed in the
Characteristics section earlier. Begin with some means of catching the reader’s
attention. Justify what you have to say. As part of the conclusion, suggest either a
course of action, a solution to the problem, or a means by which to implement the
   solution.
e. STEP 5: Revising—Polishing the Content; Getting your ideas on paper puts you over
the hurdle. Now you can polish those ideas and put them in the best light for your
reader. As you revise the content, ask yourself the following questions:
   • Have I presented my opinion clearly? Will the reader understand exactly how I feel?

   • Would different details improve the explanation of my opinion? (And revising).etc..

f. STEP 6: Revising—Typing the Final Draft; Although this format permits you to omit a
formal heading and inside address, you should begin with the salutation Dear Editor to
identify your purpose. In addition, your name and address must appear on the page,
preferably at the end. Most papers will not print your address or phone number, but the
editor must have this information for verification. (It’s for your protection. Someone
else could submit a letter with your name and cause undue embarrassment.) Editors
almost never print anonymous letters. Most newspapers and magazines accept e-mailed
   letters to the editor.
g. STEP 7: Proofreading—Checking the Mechanics; Before you mail your letter, check for
mechanical details. [See Parts I and IV for explanations and examples of writing
techniques.] Finally, check spelling and word choice.
