St. Simons Island, GA Mr. O'Connor is responsible for creating Salt Marsh Solutions, Inc. and serves as its CEO and Principal Consultant. Over a forty-year career as a systems and management consultant and as a project manager he has devised business process improvement solutions for Fortune 500 companies, for government agencies, and for international clients. The industries requesting his services include health care, education, manufacturing, public utilities, logistics, pharmaceuticals, transportation, and financial services. O’Connor served as a U. S. Naval Officer in the Pacific Fleet upon graduation from Auburn University with a degree in Industrial Engineering His employment history includes Electronic Data Systems, Coopers & Lybrand Consulting, Perot Systems Corporation, KPMG ExIS, Computer Sciences Corporation, and Data Dimensions, Inc. His accomplishments include: applying successful innovation for both the sales and delivery of consulting services, establishing productivity improvement techniques and Usability Testing within a Fortune 100 technology company, managing client projects with budgets up to $22 million, managing a staff of 300 systems engineers supporting multiple Federal Government projects, improving many consulting projects that were not meeting client expectations, and advising national and international clients on critical, time-sensitive issues that challenged the board room as well as the computer room. O’Connor has authored articles in Computerworld and Information Week on the value of the integrated perspective of IT departments, and Structured Analysis.
