This 3 slide tutorial explains how to transfer references from one RefWorks account to another using RefShare. It involves clicking the "Share Folder" icon in the original account, copying the URL, logging into the target account and pasting the URL to access the shared references, selecting the references to transfer, and clicking "Save References" to complete the transfer.

- 1. TRANSFERING REFERENCES FROM ONE REFWORKS ACCOUNT TO ANOTHER USING REFSHARE Slide Tutorial by John Pell, Librarian at the CUNY School of Public Health at Hunter College.
- 2. Click on the “Organize & Share Folders” tab.
- 4. Click on the “Share Folder” icon. (The one with the little arrow going out of it.)
- 9. Log out.
- 10. Login to the account that you want to transfer your shared references to.
- 11. Remember that URL you copied back on slide #6? Paste that into your address bar and hit the Enter key.
- 12. Boom! The references have been added as shared folder, but they are not completely transferred yet.
- 13. Select the items to transfer. If you are transferring the whole list, select “All in list.”
- 14. Click the “Save references into your account” icon.
- 15. To complete the transfer, just click the “Save References” button in the pop-up and you will be finished.
