15. Grant For Organizing Conference
(GOC)2024
GOC Scheme provides financial assistance to institutions for organizing
conferences in various fields of Science and Technology, Management, Hotel
Management.
The basic objective of the scheme is to bring academicians and experts from
different parts of the country and abroad to share knowledge, experiences and
research findings. This will provide an in-depth analysis of subjects and update
the knowledge of the participants from academic/ research institutions.

• Objective of School Innovation Council is to foster the

32. Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS)
Provides financial assistance of up to INR 20 lakhs for startups in the ideation and prototype development stage.
Aims to nurture early-stage ventures with high growth potential.
The Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS) bridges the crucial gap for startups in their nascent stages. By providing
seed funding of up to INR 20 lakhs, it empowers them to develop prototypes, validate concepts, and gain traction.
Managed by incubators and angel investors, SISFS fosters mentorship and guidance for early-stage ventures.

33. NIDHI- PRAYAS Program
Provide prototype funding to convert idea into prototype to young and aspiring innovators.
Innovators should use the PRAYAS grant primarily convert their ideas into prototype of a product that has
potential for commercialization.
The IP generated if any, should vest with the Innovator or the Start up.
The maximum funding support to an innovator/startup will be upto 10 lakhs, however the final amount is
subject to the approval of Monitoring committee of a PRAYAS centre.
The innovators can apply to one of the PRAYAS centres (PCs) for PRAYAS grant.
The PCs announces periodical call for applications. Innovators may visit website of PRAYAS centres on regular
basis to know about periodical call for proposals.

34. BIRAC (Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council)
Biotechnology Ignition Grant (BIG) Scheme
This is BIRAC's flagship program and the largest early-stage funding program for life science startups in India. It aims to
provide financial assistance to young startups and researchers to help them develop their ideas and build proof-of-concept.
BIG offers grants of up to INR 5 Million (USD 70,000 approx) to support innovative ideas.
SEED Fund
The SEED fund provides equity funding to promising biotech startups. BIRAC partners with bio-incubators and Seed Funds
to financially assist startups with high growth potential.
Equity Funding - LEAP
LEAP (Launching Entrepreneurial Affordable Products in Healthcare) aims to support the development and commercialization
of affordable healthcare products. This program offers equity funding to startups working on innovative medical devices,
diagnostics, and biopharmaceuticals.
Equity Funding - AcE
AcE (Angel Investor Connect Platform) Fund of Funds is an initiative to connect startups with angel investors. BIRAC
contributes to daughter funds that invest in biotech startups.
Product Commercialization Program
This program helps startups navigate the regulatory hurdles and challenges associated with commercializing their biotech
products. BIRAC provides financial and technical assistance to startups to help them get their products to market.
