This document discusses different types of learning objects that can be used in MOOCs to provide low-cost production. It covers passive documents like PDFs, videos in different formats, webinars, simulations, interactive multimedia, discussions both synchronous and asynchronous, and different forms of assessment like autograded multiple choice quizzes, essays, and peer assessment. The goal is to think about which learning objects would be most effective and inexpensive to create for MOOC courses.
