Design Robot
Objective was to design
interactive basic figure so that it
could be used in classroom
elementary classroom setting
during class instruction.
When creating these
robots I had to keep in mind to
use rounded shapes in order to
give a warmer feel.
Design Robot part 2
I wanted to use very vibrant color schemes
in my design. Understanding that my target
audience was children, I wanted to use
concepts about robots that were widely
recognized such as being metallic and gray.
I wanted to keep a friendly tone throughout
the piece, so I used matching colors on
diagonal robots. For example I used orange
in the 1st and 4th and pink in the 2nd and 3rd
robots to give a feel of continuity which is
important in design work. Casting shadows
in all the robots gave the perception of
depth which makes the robots feel more
realistic as well.
Card Design
Designed new modern art
pattern for game of cards. This was
created a high school exhibition event. I
used neutral but very distinct colors
with no line borders to create a
seamless 3D effect. The white featured
numbers created a stark recognizable
contrast to the diamond positioned in
the middle of the card.
Card Design
I included a white plate in the first card
behind the multi-colored diamond
design so that it did not blend in with
the background. I used the broken
design from the white color diamond
and used it as the background for the
primary diamond to create a
dimensional effect. Although most of
the graphic portions are straight lines
they have an illusion of being curved.
For
B A T M A N
My inspiration for creating this piece came from the
comics. I was very interested in early 90’s comic
design because during this time comic design had
completely been transformed.
Characters are livelier with more emotional quotient
as a result of the rich graphic design. This batman
design was an exploratory challenge
Stacked layers and used color gradients throughout the
illustration. We have significant depth and dimension
present in the comic as a result of the shadow and light
created from the sun in the background.
P O S T E R
This was my early exposure tool chain like
Photoshop and Adobe Experience manager. I
created this illustration using photoshop. I wanted
the focus in this scene to be the main wizard
character. Using the vibrant yellow contrasting with
the main villain looming in the background allows
the user to shift their focus throughout the entire
poster following typical poster hierarchy design.
P O S T E R
This was my most enjoyable project till
now. Researching poster visual concepts made me
understand that there are 3 key ideas that should
also be considered including key imagery, title/
tagline, and the billing block. The visual should be
bold enough to attract the viewer from a distance
and allow them to gain interest from the various
aspects up close. As a result I used a bold image
design of Doctor Strange in the front and created
depth by adding shadows in his background. I
lightened features around his face and his hands to
make a stark contrast to the looming character in
the background. Using the shading tool I merged
the earth and space images together with a slight
glow in the background that gave the effect of a
rising sun.
NOTABLE WORK
C O U N T I E S
This was my first major
challenge where I had to design a
shirt that would be used during a
counties tournament swimming
meet across 15 different school
districts.
I took the design
inspiration for this shirt from the
Stussy brand which held a high
level of appeal during this time.
This shirt would end up being
completely sold out as well.
CANDID WORKSPACE
Brainstormed various ideas to design High school
swimming team’s T-Shirt for Counties m e e t . I
wanted to create a product that had a bold,
fearless and winning theme. Some of the pre-
work before final product is attached. Because I
wanted it to imitate the Stussy branding I kept the
elaborate “t” design but had free drawn the rest
of the letters. I initially had typed out the word
using stencil letters with font “Stussy Script”.
After this I hand drew on top of the existing
letters to give a shaky uneven design. Converting
the drawn image into an object I used the shape
builder tool to convert the image into different
pieces. After this I changed the sizes of different
letters until I had deleted all unnecessary lines
r M E N U
Designed and rebranded a dilapidated
menu theme for restaurant “Shanghai bun”
as part of networking graphic design
program run by students and faculty at
West Windsor-Plainsboro High School
r M E N U
Since the restaurant is very Chinese traditional, I
researched concepts and ideas that are generally well
received such as the number 8 and the dragon which
symbolizes power, strength, and good luck. Using these
concepts I used bold font colors to type out the entire
menu. I had created the 8-symbol design on the first
page using photoshop. After this I added a glow and
shadow effect and exported it into illustrator where I
converted it into a vector form. I merged the two pieces
together and added the dragon with a slight glow as well
to stand out.

NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION
President of internationally
recognized non-profit organization. I
designed the branding and logo of
the organization and collaborated on
web page design elements. A major
element behind the club was its
foundational aspect to help those all-
in need.
Incomplete Projects
CARPOOL DESIGN
Learning of a new program called
sketch, I now understood that I
would be able to create more user
interface design work. Ideas could
now be designed for applications
and websites. Today transportation
in University campus has become a
big issue as buses can sometimes
be slow and unreliable. An
important concept in UX design is
accessibility. All features should be
easily accessible to the user.
Utilizing sketch further and researching
more on UX, I understood that users
enjoy control on whatever platform they
are using. As a result I created an app
design that would allow the user to be
able to see where they would like to
travel. Clicking on the name of the
location on the 3rd slide would link the
user to the Travelocity website. My
incomplete slide is composed of a
settings page where the user will be
able to see all past saved items.
