Unit 3 Test
Reading 20 points
1 Read the text. Then choose the correct answers. (4 x 2 = 8 points)
Do you want a pet? What type of pet do you want? A cat? A dog? A hamster? How
about … a pig?
Teacup pigs are a special type of very small pig. Baby teacup pigs weigh about 250
grams. After two years, they weigh 15-25 kilograms and are 30-40 centimetres long.
That’s about 1/5 of the size of a normal pig. Pigs usually live on farms, but teacup
pigs are happy in a house. They don’t do sport, but they need exercise. So people
often walk their teacup pigs – just like some people walk their dogs!
Jane Croft from England sells teacup pigs. According to Jane, pigs are great pets.
Her pigs are intelligent and they learn many things. They’re friendly and love
attention. They’re quiet and clean, too. They love people and people love them!
