increasing number of executions, the controversial debate over the legality of capital punishment
creates a divide within the population. A wedge that separates the people who support capital
punishment is one complicated question: what role should a doctor play in executions? Doctors should
be advocates for their patients no matter what the circumstances. Despite the infraction of American
Medical Association (AMA) policy, it is important for a licensed medical professional with the correct
knowledge and experience to monitor the execution. While a doctor should be on the scene in case of
emergency, they should not play an active role in executions as is the policy in Texas and other states.
The first thing to remember is that all doctors must adhere to the Hippocratic Oath which requires
them to do no harm to their patients. However, the bounds of this oath are widely debated on cases

In media, queer men and women are almost always portrayed in stereotypical roles, and bisexuality is
almost always expressed as a phase or not real. These ideas affect how others view queer identities
and how queer people view their own identity, and the social norms around them. Men are commonly

Annie Prolux is an author of eight books. She was born in Norwich, Connecticut on August 22, 1935.
She is the oldest of fives sisters. She graduated high school in Portland, Maine and attended Colby

The pursuit of a doctoral degree is both exciting and humbling for me. It is exciting that I have a clear
vision of the career I want to pursue as an academic, and humbling to think of the great opportunity I
could have to teach future social workers. Early motivation to enter the field of social work was in
response to adverse childhood experiences with domestic violence, parental substance abuse, poverty,
and homelessness further complicated by foster care intervention. My foster care experience included
five foster placements, enrollment in countless schools, countless lost relationships, and a failed
adoption. Though these experiences created much hardship, they have certainly promoted resilience
and helped lead me to my current ambition of seeking a Ph.D. As a recipient of foster care
intervention, I exited state custody through legal permanence. Through education, advocacy, and
direct social work practice with youth in residential treatment, I acquired new skills and insight to
addressing social and child welfare problems. I am excited for the opportunity to promote the field of
social work in the classroom and improve the lives of youth in the foster care system through my

KABC is used to measure processing and cognitive ability, given as a paper test for ages 3 18 by a
graduate level individual who is well trained in psychology and cognitive assessments. There are two
models of testing for this particular assessment. Cattell Horn Carroll (CHC) and Luna. The CHC is to
be used in students who are considered mainstream in language and culture and may be suffering with
learning disabilities that include reading, written expression, mathematics, mental retardation, ADHD,
behavioral or emotional disturbance or are considered gifted. The Luna is to be given to those
individuals who are bilingual or may have different cultural norms and excludes verbal ability.
Individual assessing should have an understanding of Psychology, Special Education, Child

The objective of this experiment was to determine if temperature has an effect on the duration of
movement of P. scaber. Our experiment showed that temperature has no effect on the duration of
movement of P. scaber. Although the mean duration of movement was smaller at the lower
temperature (10oC) compared to the higher temperature (25oC) in trial one (see Figure1), the
difference in mean is not statistically significant because the p value (0.10) was greater than the alpha

The study was conducted to find the effect of temperature, humidity, and light on three different
animals (Warburg, 1964). One of the animals, Armadillidium vulgare, is also similar to Porcellio
scaber as they are both isopods that exhibit similar behaviours, especially in terms of their water
permeable exoskeletons. In the study, the animals were place on a temperature gradient with different
temperature ranges (10oC to 20oC, 13oC to 27oC, 21oC to 35oC, and 28oC to 45oC). The study was
done with a simultaneous treatment experiment. The position of the animal was recorded after every
60 seconds and the time the animal spent in each temperature zone was also recorded. The result of

Chlorophyll And The Concentration Of Chlorophyll
Plankton are aquatic organisms that drift throughout their environment as they posses no true motor
capabilities. Within their respective aquatic habitats plankton form the productive basis of their
ecosystem and are divided into two subcategories: zooplankton and phytoplankton, the later will be
the primary focus of this paper. Phytoplankton, as well as other photosynthetic organisms poses
pigments called chlorophyll. These pigments allow phytoplankton to convert carbon dioxide and water
to oxygen and sugar, which provides the phytoplankton with energy. Due to the fact that all
phytoplankton posses chlorophyll scientists have developed methods that use chlorophyll testing in
order to understand more about phytoplankton as a whole. Phytoplankton posses different types of
chlorophyll but scientists usually sample chlorophyll a as it is the most abundant form (YSI
Environmental, Cullen 1982, Santos 2003). Several different methods have been developed to analyze
the concentration of chlorophyll a.
One method of analyzing chlorophyll a that has been developed is through chlorophyll extraction. In
order to perform this method one must first collect a fairly large water sample (see Plankton Web
citation for surface water sampling techniques). This sample must then be filtrated in order to

Should Universal Healthcare be available to all regardless of their ability to pay in the same way that
other services like education are available to all for free?
Universal Healthcare means that all individuals can use medical services as preventative, curative, and
rehabilitative care when they need it regardless of their income levels. Universal healthcare guarantees
that these services are available to everyone. The U.S. is in talks now for a single payer system which
would provide health insurance in place of private companies to bring more access to medical to the
lower class and the thousands of under or uninsured.
P1: Universal Healthcare would reduce long term costs.
P2: Everyone has a right to see a doctor.
P3: Universal Healthcare would improve public health overall, with preventative care and overall
health management.
