This document outlines a research project investigating the relationship between rugby scrum pack weight and scrum success. It includes sections on the project aim, literature review, hypotheses, methods, data collection, analysis, results, discussion, conclusion, and recommendations. The researcher analyzed secondary data on starting pack weights and scrum statistics from Premiership teams to find that teams with heavier packs had higher average scrum success rates, supporting the hypothesis. However, the teams with the heaviest packs did not consistently win games, suggesting other factors influence outcomes. The researcher concluded there is a relationship between weight and scrum success but recommends expanding the study in future work.
