 A general statement of results intended for an
  initiative or program.
 Goal statements reference a specific population that
  the program or service is designed to reach.

 Goals are the bridge between an organization’s mission
 and its activities.

 The goal of University Synagogue’s b’nai mitzvah
 program is to:
  Have 80% of all students proficient in chanting a
   haftarah
  Prepare students for their successful initial entry into
   Jewish adulthood
  Engage students in a mitzvah project

 Logic model is defined as a picture of how your
  organization does its work
 Makes explicit the theory and assumptions underlying
  the program
 Links outcomes with program activities and
  assumptions

Some Benefits of Logic Model
 Makes transparent the causal relationship between
  resources and outcomes
 Builds the hoped-for change into the development of
  the program
 Clarifies expected outcomes for all stakeholders
 Creates possibilities for mid-course program
  correction

 The human, financial, organizational, and community
  assets a program has available to direct toward the
  work
 Sometimes referred to as “Inputs”

  years

 The fundamental intended change occurring
  communities as a result of program activities
 Or, the long-term, sustained changes in program
  participants’ knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors
