U films are suitable for audiences aged 4 and over. They may contain brief fight scenes or kissing but no hardcore violence or sexual activity. PG films are suitable for all ages but younger children should consider if content may upset them. PG films can contain brief sexuality or violence. 12A/12 ratings mean that 12A films can be seen unaccompanied in cinemas while 12 ratings apply to home media which must be accompanied for those under 12. 15 and 18 ratings prohibit access to those below the age limits and contain increasingly strong language, violence, nudity and sex.
