- 2. • Hello I am Judith Agwer • A Nurse/Midwife currently working in South Sudan • Today I will be sharing with you on my use of online media
- 3. • I would also like to share with you my skills, experience values interests and strengths. • Before I started the one programme course, • I was not keen on use of social media, and didn’t know what influence it has in my life, above all on my future employability.
- 4. • This is evidenced by my initial klout score of 10. • However towards the end of the course, it had risen to 13, because I became very active on linkedin, Twitter, facebook and klout. • I am a self motivated, innovative and creative Nurse Midwife with over 10 years’experience.
- 5. • I have skills and knowledge essential for managing obstetric emergencies which is my area of expertise. • Currently I am also pursuing a course in Human Resource Management at Leicester University
- 6. • My diverse cultural experience gained while working with United Nations Development Programme, has helped me work with different people and respect them even under challenging situations
- 7. • With the one Program learned about personal branding and now I am able to talk about my personal brand • I have also learned about use of social media for employability which has helped to create an effective online presence
- 8. • The reflective writing guide has given an insight to my areas of weakness in my carrer and shown me possible means of improving them especially my verbal communication skills. • I am looking forward to completing my one programme soon, as well as my Bachelor of science Human Resource Management course
- 9. • I am hopefull that through linkedin, twitter and other online social media, I will be able to link up with colleagues, friends and potential employers, wherein I will be able to find employment as Human Resource manager or as Nurse manager upon completion of my course.
- 10. • To develop my online presence, I will connect with many friends and colleagues, actively participate in online discussions and also initiate discussions.
- 11. • Thanks to “one programme” that has fully engaged me to the world of social media and above all equipped me with knowledge and skills that has helped me create an online presence which today has enabled me share with you my skills and expertise.
