Using premiere pro
- 2. GETTING STARTED Here is some screens shots of me importing the files over to premiere pro. After deciding on what videos I want I can edit them suing the cut tool. We have used this tool a lot to edit out footage making certain clips longer than others or using it to cut out certain parts of that clip and the go back to get the rest of it. When dragging over we either use these two buttons or just drag the file but as we are making a music video we want to only drag the footage and not the sound. Then you drag the footage and place it on the sequence.
- 3. EDITS One of the effects we used was a transparent video. We used this to make the dream sequence darker and more lugubrious to allude to the audience that this sequence would be different as its in the girls head. These arte the settings we used to achieve the eerie feel of the dream sequence. We also made the sequence added black and white to make the sequence seem more surreal. This is a screen shot of some of the transitions we used. Instead of straight cuts or jumps cuts we used dissolves. Cross dissolves was our main one as it worked best for continuity edits/showing the passing of time. Fades to black were mostly used when there is a new scene and at the edit to finish the video. This is one of the many jump cuts we used. I chose to show this one as it’s the most disorientating as there is two clips jump cutting in between each other so it matches the pace of the music. We used the razor tool to achieve this edit.
- 4. FINISHING Once you finish editing you render the files so when you play back the video it won't slack. It also helps for you to render the video every time you do an edit so so you see the edit play throughly and edit it if it doesn't work. One you have done rendering your work it is done and then you export it into a video.
