Using ubuntu
Ubuntu provides many applications also available in Windows like MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox. However, Ubuntu has some unique media programs like Shotwell for photos and movies, Ubuntu One cloud service, and the Ubuntu Software Centre app store. When opening the places area, a personal folder contains Documents, Pictures, Videos, and a search bar. The System Area contains Preferences and Administration links. Preferences allows configuring Ubuntu, while Administration provides tutorials. Overall, Ubuntu has a clear layout and simple programs, though it can be slow to load, taking 10 minutes to start up. It is also good for visually impaired and elderly users due to its clear, simple, and accessible design.

When you open up the places area you be looking at a list that includes a personal folder, when you click open that you will be shown a list that includes: Documents Pictures Videos and a Search Bar at the top of the window. When you open up the System Area you will be given to 2 links which are: Preferences Administration When you open up the Preferences folder you will be looking at the different options to the running of Ubuntu and when you open up the Administration folder you will be shown the likes of tutorials on how to use the Ubuntu OS.
- 4. Overall I believe that Ubuntu is a very good OS as it has a clear layout and the programs are simple, plus it is free software so I can edit to my liking if I want too. However it is quite slow at loading as you have to wait 10 minutes at start up before the OS is ready to be used. Finally it is very good for the visually impaired and the elderly as it is clear simple and disability friendly.
