This paper presents a novel approach for recognizing two-handed gestures in an augmented reality (AR) environment to mitigate occlusion issues through the use of the watershed transform algorithm. It outlines a method to identify and separate occluded hands by converting binary images into grayscale, applying watershed lines to distinguish hand positions, and extracting fingertip features for gesture recognition. The research aims to enhance interaction with virtual objects using bare-hand gestures and highlights the methodology's capability to recognize gestures effectively, with future goals of expanding gesture recognition functionalities.
