KMNOBADJA 2015
 Wechat is all in one communication app, which you
can use to send text messages, audio, video files ,
broadcast (one-to-many) and pictures to anyone for
free.
 It was developed by Tencent in China, and first
released in January 2011 .
 Wechat provides entertainment portal where you can
play games, location sharing and exchange contacts
with people nearby via Bluetooth, or integratingn with
social networking services such as those run by
Facebook and Tencent QQ if desired.

 The app is available on Android, iPhone,
BlackBerry, Windows Phone and Symbian phones,
and also Web-based, OS X and Windows clients
but these require the user to have the app installed
on a supported mobile phone for authentication.
 WeChat has about 500 million active users.

 Visualization: it can be used to visualize concepts
that are difficult to understand without
demonstration or pictures.
 Collaboration: learners can work together to
make videos , which can be uploaded to a class
WeChat account.
 Sharing: learners can share videos and resources
with each other and fellow learners from other
schools.
 Teaching for understanding: through videos ,
concepts can be best displayed and interpreted
by learners including all learning style for learners.

 Assessment: finding out information it is easier
for learners because it is part of their everyday
life and apply their findings through video and
share on WeChat.
 Metacognition: require learners to think about
their understanding of table manners and present
their understanding through video
 Report to parents: it is easier for parent to see
their children participation in learning activities
by upload videos to share with them.
 Create learning content: applying learners
content in their daily life

1. Topic: Basic table manners
2. Learning objective: understand basic table
manners
3. Basic competency: learners should be able to
apply basic table manners in family setting.

1. Activity: This will be a collaborative task where
learners will create a video of basic table manners.
2. Devices needed: camera phones, tablets or digital
cameras.
3. Procedure:
a) Divide learners into groups of five, and form up a types
of family of their choice.
b) Each group of Learners get a devices to use in shooting.
c) Each group choose their own spot to shoot video in the
school ground.
d) videos will be uploaded onto the class WeChat account
with descriptive information(bad or good table manners
applied in the video).

 WeChat is a free application that can be accessed when one has Internet
connection.
