This document outlines testing criteria for Android applications in 3 versions. Version 1.0 was created in March 2011 by the Unified Testing Initiative (UTI) to provide a standard against which Android apps can be tested. The tests cover areas like installation, memory usage, connectivity, user interface, performance, media, and more. The criteria are meant to ensure apps reach a high quality standard, though there is no verification program for Android like with Java apps. The UTI welcomes feedback to update the criteria.
