The document presents a new routing protocol, UTARP, designed for vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) to improve traffic control and communication among vehicles in urban environments. By considering dynamic traffic conditions and utilizing a greedy forwarding strategy based on real-time traffic data, UTARP outperforms conventional protocols in key metrics such as packet delivery ratio and end-to-end delay. This approach aims to address challenges posed by the rapidly changing network topology and traffic dynamics in city settings.
