This document presents a study on improving node localization accuracy in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) using Ultra Wide Band (UWB) technology, achieving localization accuracy up to 1 cm. The proposed method employs time difference of arrival (TDOA) techniques, utilizing a train of low amplitude pulses sent from anchor nodes to mobile nodes, thereby reducing energy consumption and dispersion effects. Simulation results demonstrate improved localization accuracy compared to traditional methods, with lower percentage errors when using UWB technology.
