Value Line
- 1. Step One: Go to http:www.lcplin.org
- 2. Step Two: Find the Research drop down box along the blue title bar at the top of the page. Click on that and scroll down to Magazines, Newspaper, and Databases.
- 3. Step Three: Click on Value Line Research Center and you will be prompted to type in your library card number and pin.
- 4. Step Four: Start Searching!

- 6. If you are unfamiliar with Value Line I highly recommend that you read through their About Value Line page. It is very informative.
- 7. Value Line is brimming with information. If you click on the Site Map tab you can see what all is offered. You can look up stocks, mutual funds, articles, and they have educational information as well.

- 10. We have subscriptions to the first three listed and when you scroll down the page we have subscriptions to some other indexes as well.
- 11. Click on The Value Line Investment Survey online-Standard edition
- 12. The library hasn’t received the January issue yet but it is online. They have three months of back issues. At the library we keep the current year and the past year. So in 2010 we will have all of 2009 and the incoming issues. Click on Ratings and Reports.
- 13. 129 companies are in Issue 6 (1/1/2010) You can see the company name, ticker info, Industry, and Timeliness. To get the information click on PDF or HTML. It looks exactly like you would see in print form.
- 15. The same goes for the rest of them. What’s nice is it is going to look familiar. They didn’t change anything from the print version to the online version.
- 16. Value Line online offers so much information. I couldn’t possibly touch on everything but I wanted to focus on how to get to the indexes. Take some time and explore Value Line. You would be amazed at what you can learn.
