This document provides guidance on conducting Discovery and Action Dialogues (DADs) to address problems in a positive deviance framework. It explains that DADs are 15-20 minute group sessions held in the local context to uncover existing solutions. Key questions are used to affirm the problem, identify barriers, and generate ideas without judgment. Tips are provided for facilitators to encourage participation and focus on actions rather than answers. Participants then practiced a mock DAD and gave feedback on using this approach. Next steps include continuing DAD use, follow up, and data collection to solve problems in a hands-on, collaborative way.
